Zebra DS8108 2D Barcode Scanner
The Zebra DS8108 is a corded standard-range area imager for reading supported 1D and 2D barcodes. Its 1280 x 960 image sensor works with an amber aiming pattern and red illumination, while direct decode indication, LEDs and an adjustable beeper provide clear read confirmation.
Key Features:
- 1D and 2D Capture: The area imager reads supported linear and matrix symbologies, including Data Matrix, QR Code and PDF417.
- Image Sensor: A 1280 x 960 pixel sensor supports standard-range barcode capture and document imaging.
- Low-Contrast Reading: A minimum reflective difference of 16% supports compatible barcodes with reduced light-to-dark contrast.
- Flexible Positioning: A 48° horizontal by 37° vertical field of view works with ±60° skew, ±60° pitch and full 360° roll tolerance.
- Host Interfaces: USB, RS232, keyboard wedge and IBM 46XX over RS485 modes support connection to compatible systems.
- Everyday Protection: IP52 sealing, multiple 1.8 m drops to concrete and 2,000 tumbles at 0.5 m support repeated handling.
- Operating Range: The scanner operates from 0 to 50 °C and is rated for ambient light up to 96,840 lux.
